How do I make my dreams come true?

Another busy week. My friend Danny from Denver arrived earlier in the week. We had a lovely visit with another friend, lots of wine, fun, and dinner at Antiquities. My favorite restaurant in ABQ. I love the Filet Mignon! I also had Danny, the friend who found the property for me, and a girlfriend who has owned B&B's in the past all look at the property for sale. It is my dream, but the reality is how am I going to get financing or funding? They all agreed it is a gem with lots of possibilities. It would be a awesome opportunity for an angel investor. My problem is start-up costs. I know how to make money. I can envision it becoming a small country club and me selling limited memberships to CLUB ADOBE. I can imagine my guests coming over several times a month just to relax, sit in the hot tub, lounge by the salt pool, or swim laps; in addition to monthly spa treatments. I guess those who have money thrive when the economy is down. Especially when you can purchase distressed properties that will be worth a fortune when the economy turns around. The four of us had a business luncheon after the meeting at High Noon. I love the margaritas there too!

My networking group, TNT, had our holiday party at my place last night. It was a small turn-out, about 16-people, but we had a blast. Especially the White Elephant part of the party.

I'm now getting ready for another Couples' Spa Session. This will be their second time in weeks and his third visit. I asked he if she would prefer I massage her this time so she can try out my massage. She said she would come alone and try out my magical hands. In the meantime, she said, "I put her husband to sleep". He is constantly thinking and can't turn his head off of business, until he comes to Your Private Adobe. I guess it's a compliment when I can put a client/guest to sleep!

More couples sessions booked. New things forthcoming

Participated in a networking event at the Roadrunner Food Bank last night. It was a small but fun event. I enjoyed the tour and plan to volunteer as I can. It always feels good to give back to the community.

I booked 3-couples packages this week for the weekend and future! These are so fun for me. My friend and massage therapist,"A" will assist for one of them over the weekend. When I started this business I was surprised that most of my clients have requested another female therapist verses a male to assist me. I had planned to use him more often. We've been friends from Denver for 5-6 years.

Saw the movie 2012 tonight. It was hokie but fun, and a very long movie!

I'm searching for another dining room table. I want one that is slightly used that can double as a conference/dining table. I want it small enough for intimate couples dining inside so they won't feel lost at large table. But I want it large enough, with leafs to seat 8-12 people! Craigslist is a great place to look for used furniture! I'm on a budget though. I also need a large screen TV and desk, which are on my shopping list.

Couples Massage ABQ, Trial Run on Dinner Menu

I had a dear friend in town from Denver, CO. We have known each other for years. Now that my new couples dinner packages are underway, I wanted to use him out as a guinea pig. Earlier in the day we worked on adding additional lighting to the large tree outback and moved a small table from the front patio to the back for us to dine around. We trimmed limbs, and set the yard up nicely for company. I hired the personal Chef I am using for the new service. Two of my best friends also joined us, but they had eaten already. We had a lovely evening! Good food, wonderful ambiance and fun conversations. Here's the menu: Green Chili Chicken Soup, Stuffed Chicken Breast, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Strawberries and Puff Pastry w/chocolate sauce. We worked out all the kinks so we'll be ready to provide the best possible service and food for my real guests. Later we lounged in the Moroccan Tent. It was fun, and relaxing but my only complaint.....it was a cloudy night so there was no stars to view. We drank lots of wine and enjoyed each others company. Gosh, I adore this man! So the total Couples Odyssey package lasts at least 3-hours. Approximately 1 3/4 hours of the time is for spa treatments, (the foot soak, the body polish and the Your Private Adobe Signature Massage). So the rest of the time you can enjoy dining and lounging in the tent. I hope to have a hot tub by the fall. That will really be the icing on the cake both for me and for my guests.
